A confident answer was not enough. The company needed the evidence behind it.
The familiar moment
Patent research often arrived as a finished report. When the product changed or a new question appeared, the company could not easily see which records supported the earlier conclusion.
The research had value, but much of the working knowledge disappeared into the final answer. The next question could send the team back to the beginning.
What was really wrong
The company needed research that could be inspected, updated, and reused—not an AI answer that merely sounded certain.
Why this came first
Official patent records were available, every conclusion could be checked, and the research would remain useful when the next product question appeared.
The tempting shortcut
Why the obvious AI answer was not enough.
Asking a general AI model whether an idea is patentable can produce a polished response. It cannot prove that the search was complete, and it may describe records that do not exist.

A useful workflow, small enough to prove.
We turned one clear description of the invention into a research record linked to the patent-office sources behind every finding.

How we knew it was working
